Sipping my coffee, staring through the rain down at the graveyard. The camera pans out from me and down to the funeral procession.

This song really fits what's happening right now. Very cinematic, love it!

All I can say is how much I love this. I love this.

I like the piano melody! I would not have used the crash cymbal, because it sounds too big for what I think is a calm song. It would be tighter and more low key if you used a hi-hat instead, then you could mix the drums a little louder too. Anyway, I love hearing stuff on Newgrounds that use actual instrument recordings because it sounds more "alive" and "real" but saying that, the electronic parts are very midi sounding, and that takes the effect away a bit. Hope this helps you!

Euclasy responds:

Thanks for this review, sounds helpful!
Indeed Im keen to play the most possible actual instruments and Im glad you noticed.
If you listen carefully you can also hear finger snaps off the beat xd

Anthony! :D I like the way this starts, the synth and bass work perfect with the percussion here. But you don't use them for the rest of the song, so it lost me. I'd keep the bass loud and that synth all the way through, and forget about the strings, piano and guitar. It got really complicated. Liked it for the intro. Drums sound good too.

AnthonyBale responds:

Thanks for being my first reviewer! I changed the song to rock after the intro because i was going for a different style to my previous song which was mostly synth. The soft piano stage near the end was conflicting with the rock, i was trying to mix things up a bit, but i know it didn't work out as i hoped. Thanks again for the feedback. (*Your breathy Tee song inspired me upload my music when i started!)

The samples of the kids work really well, I just want to keep listening. love this track.

I love this! :D You really captured the feel of a city. Even though I love to be in cities, and you don't :P It's a bit short though, would love for it to loop, but that's probably just me...

LTGuitarist responds:

Hey, glad you thought so! Yeah, I would have liked to make it a bit more, but the idea behind SoundShoots.com is to make really compact pieces, which is kinda nifty, you should have a look.

Love the track but the vocal track needs more polish.

Poniiboi responds:

What, polish like a boot or a loafer? Wish you had been more specific.

SSX 3 Right? ....R-Right?! This reminds me of like the main track when you're sliding around the mountain between events, I like it Waterflame.

wow

This reminds me of Solar Fields :) Is that dripping water sound a sample?

oddfellowfloyd responds:

Thanks for the awesome words! :) I'm not familiar with Solar Fields though... XD

The 'dripping water'-ish sounds are from a pack called "Loop Noir".
All other sounds are my own pad sounds and chords.

Peace!

:')

This is epic. Don't stop making music. :D

Sheodon responds:

Thanks a lot. :)
